Andrea is a serial entrepreneur who has founded and led advanced technology start-ups addressing machine learning, nanotechnology, and the IoT. In 2007 he started the first Italian machine learning company, Impara, which has now become Boston-based Rulex, where he leads the company’s commercial and technical strategies for bringing explainable AI to the global market. Andrea holds a M.S. in Physics from the University of Genoa, Italy.
Ester has held operational executive roles in numerous Italian technology startups, and has managed the transformation of an accomplished research organization, Impara, into Rulex, an international software solution company with a growing number of Fortune 1000 customers. She now heads up Finance, Operations, and Corporate Development. Ester holds an MBA and a M.S. in Physics from the University of Genoa, Italy.
Marco is among Italy’s premier data scientists and an award-winning mathematician, recognized for his novel proofs and original inventions. In addition to authoring and leading the ongoing expansion of Rulex’s family of unique machine learning algorithms, he also serves as Prime Researcher for the Institute for Electronic, Information Technology and Telecommunication Engineering at CNR, Italy’s premier technology research organizations, where he manages the Machine Learning Group. Marco holds a M.S. in Engineering from the University of Genoa, Italy.
Tim is a successful tech industry veteran who has played many formative executive roles in the introduction of complex new technologies at Sybase, Oracle, IBM, and numerous AI startups. Tim is best known as the co-creator of the Thin Client meme with Larry Ellison at Oracle. Tim attended Columbia and NYU.
Andrea is a Professor of Business Law and Intellectual Property at the University of Genoa (Italy), an innovation strategist, and intellectual property expert. At Rulex, he leads the curation, protection, and commercialization of our growing portfolio of AI innovations, Andrea holds an LL.M and a JSD from the University of California at Berkeley.
